The development of a U2 exhibit on the site of their current studios, at Hanover Quay in Dublin 2, will act as focal point for fans of the band visiting their hometown. The proposed new structure is arranged as a series of three vertically staggered blocks, each with its own scale and material expression, cantilevered over a new entrance plaza which sits over the adjoining Grand Canal Dock. The palette of materials chosen directly references both the history of the area and that of the band itself, creating an exciting and challenging architectural solution for what will be a valuable addition to the city's tourist infrastructure.
